Starting Pitching dilemma on Friday
So, in a bit of an odd occurrence, I have 5 SP on my roster scheduled to pitch on Friday. I have only 4 spots & even then, I have to bench 2 closers to free up those 4 spots. So here's who I have running:
Johan Santana (Home) vs LAD (Aaron Harang)
James Shields (Home) vs SEA (Hisashi Iwakuma)
Ryan Dempster (Road) vs STL (Kyle Loshe)
Jake Peavy (Road) vs DET (Kate Upton, I mean Justin Verlander)
Tim Lincecum (Road) vs PHI (Vance Worley)
4 Closers are Aroldis Chapman (playing), Jason Motte (playing), Tyler Clippard (struggled a little lately, so benched), Casey Janssen (@BOS & Toronto inconsistent w/o Bautista, so Bench)
Now considering Timmy Ballgame's struggles this year & especially on the road, this would normally be a no-brainer. But Peavy is up against a tough DET lineup in the motor city & Verlander on the hill. I'm kind of torn here. What's weird is Santana will probably be the one roughed up the most. Anyway, any thoughts? Thanks.
