To totally disupute your claims also, i would argue that the steroid era as well as the Yankees dynasty saved baseball instead of ruined it. Think about how bad of shape the league was in before 95 with the strike and hall and look at baseball now, its as popular if not more popular than its ever been.

Theres a reason its referred to as the steroid era, because most of the players were using the stuff.
