Verlander
Why is he being scored as a CG SHO when the game was NOT a shutout?
Yahoo is screwing up bigtime lately and it's a pain as commish to have to explain to my owners what the hell is going on.-
sac fly aka unearned run...look at the box score fella. not that hard to figure out unless you are tarded.

You can not get credited with a shutout if the game was not a shutout no matter if the runs were unearned. I think a few need to understand the rules instead of bashing those who ask questions.

I win :) No shutout for Verlander, its been fixed by yahoo.
They really need to get these things right the first time, this is not the only time this has happened.

No the game was a shutout it was Detroit 2, Sox 0.

Maybe I am looking at a bad stat feed but I see a DH played between Detroit and Chicago, Verlander winning 5-1 and Detroit also winning the nightcap 4-3.

yahoo's stattracker is wrong.
All other sites and tv shows have that game at 5-1
-
The run was un-earned. Learn the rules before you complain.

Well, ESPN has it wrong then. They only have one Shutout for Verlander in all season, it should be two if you are correct.
Plus, if you're following stattracker, it currently has that game as 2-0 chicago victory, when it should be 5-1.
So, maybe thats the mistake. I guess we'll have to see tomorrow if they correct it or if its already correct. -
Sorry. 2 other sites have it listed as a CG but not a shutout.

my guess is cause the one run he gave up was unearned- i would think that would be a CG but not a shutout- don't know for sure though
