Atkins job is in serious jeopardy now that Ian Stewart is hitting well and Todd Helton is hitting for an average. Where would Atkins play? At best, he now seems like a plug-in guy who would get 2 starts a week.

Even if he does get his job back due to some injury or something, I wouldn't pick him up until he starts hitting with consistency again.
