    Who to Drop..if anyone

    Ok so in my league Zach Duke is on the FA list.
    Right now I have:
    SP Jake Peavy
    SP Zach Greinke
    SP Armando Galarraga
    (not that I can drop a RP for Duke but oh well)
    RP Bobby Jenks
    RP Joba Chamberlain
    RP Carlos Marmol(shitty)
    P Justin Verlander
    P Ted Lilly
    and for the time being
    P Cole Hamels.

    So Duke is on the FA list like I said. Should I drop anyone for him and if so who?? Let me know!

      Duke is a soft-tosser on a poor team -- would be a downgrade from any SP on your roster. Let someone else pick him up and see if they drop a slumper.

      I'm leaning towards Jake Peavy, but I don't think there's any reason to suppose that he will have a completely awful year. Either he'll go on the DL for something because he's not pitching well enough or he'll improve. Clubs can just pull something out of thin air to put a guy on the DL...like Dontrelle Willis having an anxiety disorder as a result of a blood test.

      I wouldn't drop anyone else. Joba hasn't gone deep into ballgames, but he just struck out 12 Red Sox yesterday. Justin Verlander is lights-out at home and leads the AL in K's right now. Cole Hamels is struggling to start the season, but he'll probably come around sooner or later.

      I'd drop Marmol if it was possible to do so. I wonder if Russ Ohlendorf is on your FA too? He's another guy that's had a good start to the season and he should have RP eligiblity.

        DO NOT DROP PEAVY, whatever you do. He's not going on the DL and he IS going to be great again soon. Look at his last start against a loaded Dodgers lineup, probably floated under your radar bc the Padres suck and he got a no decision going 8 giving up 0 w/ 8 Ks.

        I had the same views on Chamberlain until the latest Boston game. I had already put a comb through my pitching staff(starters anyways) when I dropped Dice-K and Wang. God that guy. Picked up Galarraga and Greinke. And yea Verlander is hotter than a velvet picture of a dolphin and a whale gettin it on! I feel that Hamels will pull out of his deal. He hasnt been throwin games so he still has the capability of getting his ERA down and keeping it down. I would LOVE to drop Marmol but the RP in my league are looking very bleak. As well as my catchers.haha But thats for another time. Dumb Posada. Anyways, thanx for the help and Ill look for Ohlendorf.
