    • Here's an example of how I drafted a 10 team H2H 6X6 (add K's for hitters and L's for pitchers) 1 Util slot, so I have 2 BN hitters in Votto and Blalock. I am soft on Saves, but at the time was counting on Marmol getting the job in Chicago and subsequently picked up Accardo for Neshek. Still have 4 reliever c apable of 100 K's and the worst WHIP last year was Hughes at 1.28:

      1. (1) Alex Rodriguez 3B
      2. (20) Carlos Lee LF
      3. (21) Ichiro Suzuki CF
      4. (40) Bobby Abreu RF
      5. (41) Derek Jeter SS
      6. (60) Derrek Lee 1B
      7. (61) Carlos Pena 1B
      8. (80) John Smoltz SP
      9. (81) Aaron Harang SP
      10. (100) Vernon Wells CF
      11. (101) Francisco Liriano SP
      12. (120) Raul Ibanez LF
      13. (121) Howie Kendrick 2B
      14. (140) Carlos Marmol RP
      15. (141) Troy Percival RP
      16. (160) Heath Bell RP
      17. (161) Phil Hughes SP
      18. (180) Kevin Gregg RP
      19. (181) Aaron Hill 2B
      20. (200) Jonathan Broxton RP
      21. (201) Randy Johnson SP
      22. (220) Rafael Betancourt RP
      23. (221) Hank Blalock 3B
      24. (240) Joey Votto 1B,LF
      25. (241) Pat Neshek RP
      26. (260) J.R. Towles C

    • Lincecum has way more upside than Cain; I'd drop Cain and Myers, even Tejada. In a 6 team league, there will be stars available as FA, and you need the few extra steals more than the power in Young -vs-Tejada. Aramis AND Matsui seems too much for Sabathia, but that's my opinion. Don't feel you have to "lock in" on specific players. I'd try to trade a Matsui for someone like Smoltz, for instance. Don't think you have to go after Sabathia because you still are upset over missing him by 2 draft slots.

    • You have lots of great hitters and pitchers..much better than the players I have..I'd say for a first timer u got lucky..good luck...

    • Lots of old guard there, that kind of line-up makes me nervous due to injuries. In a six man league there's a few of "this years shits" that are going to happen...watch the stats closely and do your research..then... play to win.

    • Trade Aramis and Matsui for SP, drop Myers and Cain for Saves. In a 6 team league, you won't survive the category with 1 closer, and there are likely still several available. Consider top MR's as well; if you can keep your lineup full, there is a lot of value/inning in guys like Bell, Betancourt, Broxton. Vulture wins/saves, good ratios and good K rates. If Zambrano comes out of the gate hot, I would personally try to trade him; always seems to melt down somewhere along the line. By the same token, don't let a slow start by Santana tempt you to trade--he is typically better late than in the 1st 2 months. Great hitters on your bench do you no good, SP can be rotated in on days they actually play, greatly increasing counting stats in pitching--just remember top MR can be better options than high-WHIP, low K starters.

    • Overall not bad for a first try. I would say your weaknesses lie in speed and saves not a tone there. I would also say some of yours guys have some injury risk.

Also truth is 6 team leagues tend to be bunched together. so your probably not going to be far fron teh top or the bottom. Simple math a bad category hurts you less. You finsh last in saves you lose 5 point to the winner of the cat instead of 9 in a 10 team.

So managing your team will probably be the difference. Keep an eye on waiver wire guys and guys having breakout years. Since the Free agent pool will be vast those opportunties will be the difference.

6 teams leagues are a good way to start next year grab a few more friends and step up[ the skill level with a 10 or 12 team league.

Good luck in your first year have fun. I don't listen to the previous absolute moron.

    • I'd give it a 5 star if you have 8-12 people in your league, otherwise I'd give it a 3-4 star if you have any less.

    • Ever heard of perspective knippplehead? Ya got to outline such things as number of teams, scoring stats etc. I'd rate your team as one managed by an idiot.
