Would you take these trades?
Okay so two trades have been offered to me in my league. The first is:
I trade:
-SS Rollins
I get:
-SS Jeter
-CL Jenks
I'm kind of on the fence with this one, leaning towards not accepting it. I am short on RP. We start 3 and I have Corpus, Rivera, and Okajima so Jenks would help out there. I want to think Jeter for Rollins is fairly straight up, but I just don't think it's worth it.
The second trade is:
I trade:
-SP Verlander
I get:
-SP Peavy
This one seems to be a half a dozen of one, twelve of the other with Peavy's numbers being slightly better than Verlander's. At this point I think I should take the trade, but I know Verlander has yet to peak and this could be an even better year than last. Let me know what you guys think.-
would u like to join my league plz

no and yes.
Rollins is worth much more than a 2nd tier ss and rp.
I'd make this deal in a second....Peavy has the NL edge over Verlander.- 1 Reply to and again

What if the trade were Jeter and Putz for Rollins instead of Jeter and Jenks for Rollins? Make any difference?

To be honest, I don't really have a preference. It's all about fielding the best possible team. I agree that Jeter has very solid and usually dependable numbers year in/year out compared to Rollins. The addition of Jenks makes it look that much better on paper, but like you said it is just paper. I think Rollins has the potential to put back-to-back awesome yeras together, but that's a guess. On the second trade Peavy's numbers are slightly better, but neither has really peaked. I guess it's tougher when you swapping aces. I think Verlander has better potential, but it may be another 2-3 years before he peaks, while I feel Peavy's season could be now. I'm thinking I might just take both trades and see what happens.

i say for the first one you should accept. jimmy rollins had ONE breakout year. DJ is good year after year. Jenks will definately help any1s team. As for the second trade, go with your gut. I would personally accept because its possible that peavy hasnt even peaked yet.
