Made a couple trades recently, how's my team look now?

Center: Claude Giroux, Tyler Ennis, Jeff Skinner
Left wing: Daniel Sedin, Ilya Kovalchuk, James Neil, James Van Riemsdyk
Right wing: James Neil, Jeff Skinner, Chris Stewart, Radim Vrbata
Defenseman: Mike Green, Lubomir Visnovsky, Dougie Hamilton, Dan Hamhuis
Goalie: Jaroslav Halak, Semyon Varlamov, Ray Emery
    IR: Jason Spezza

Standard head to head 12 team league. I made two separate trades. First, I traded Jordan Eberle straight up for James Neil and then I traded Logan Couture and Shea Weber for Daniel Sedin. I'm obviously a little weak on defense now, but I feel like I did well on both trades. Any suggestions on how else I could improve my team? It would be greatly appreciated!

    • I like the Eberle trade, the Sedin one you gave up way too much...but what's done is done. I would go after 1 or 2 solid d (Chara, OEL etc) and try and solidify that goaltending (Crawford is back, Varlamov has struggled recently). Unfortunately you don't have great trading chips as I would deem Giroux Sedin and Neal as your only untouchables.

      • I'm not really seeing how I gave up way too much in the Sedin trade. Couture has been a big disappointment this season after his hot start, especially as of late (2 points his last 10 games) and although Weber is a top Defenseman, he has shown signs of reduced production now that he isn't paired with Suter. Sedin was a top 5 guy going into the season and always puts up big point totals. Personally, I would take a top 5-10 forward way over a top 5-10 defenseman every time but agree to disagree. Having a top 4 forwards of Giroux, Sedin, Kovalchuk, and Neal is pretty scary but I agree I should try to make a deal to improve my D. What do you think is the best type of Defenseman that I could get if I sell high on Van Riemsdyk?
