Why Is SPEZZA Not Being Designated as "Injured Reserve"

This is my first year at Yahoo Fantasy Sports. I'm curious why Jason Spezza has not been IR designated yet it's been announced he'll be out for 2 months. The other sites designated him this morning ... still nothing here as of tonight. It's not fair that we should have to drop him as the team is saying he may be back for the end of the season.

Is this common on Yahoo?

  Yahoo outsources their player list through some other company. So, until the Senators designate Spezza for IR and the other company designates him for IR, Yahoo can't/won't designate him for IR.

  Yahoo can't place him on IR until the team does. Once the team does Yahoo takes about ...
