i would say yandle, regardless of the stats you count, since Schultz could really only be (get) better than yandle at maybe hits and pts. Minutes,+/-, pretty much everything else would be in yandle's favor. Edmonton's def is getting lit up. Plus, defensemen usually take the longest to mature and coaches often lose patience and give them less minutes.

For D, I think the most important things to consider are +/-, HITS (if you have), BLKS (if you have) and PP time. Obviously, you want G and A and this matters a lot more if you play in a weighted system but having for instance, Hamonic getting the occasional assist isn't worth much if he gets -3 every game.
That being said, Schultz isn't deployed too much compared to Smid, Petry & Whitney on EV. The way I see it, he's really only going to get points on the PP. However, you have guys like Yakupov, Hall, Eberle, RNH on the PP.
Yandle is the Kronwall of Pheonix. Uncontested 1st D for everything. Him for sure.
