Can someone explain how benched players are scored in a rotisserie?

Is scoring only calculated from active players, and not from players on the bench? Does this mean I need to actively be changing around my lineup in a rotisserie by activating/deactivating players daily? Or do bench players' activities still count?

    • Players on bench do not count. Dressing/benching daily depends on your league. First, does your league allow daily changes? Next, is their a "Games Played" limit at each position. If there is a GP limit, you don't want to move players daily as you'll use all your games by mid-season and have to wait. If you are in a league that has no GP limit and daily line-up changes (stupid IMO), then daily changes are the only way to stay close.

      • Hey,

Thanks for the reply, really appreciate it and your insight is really helpful. Here are the rules for the league:

        Scoring Type: Rotisserie
Max Acquisitions for Entire Season: No maximum
Max Trades for Entire Season No maximum
        Trade Reject Time: 2
Trade End Date: March 21, 2013
        Allow Draft Pick Trades: Yes
        Waiver Time: 2 days
        Waiver Type: Continual rolling list
        Waiver Mode: Standard
Can't Cut List Provider: Yahoo! Sports
        Trade Review: League Votes
Post Draft Players: Follow Waiver Rules
        Max Games Played: No maximum
        Weekly Deadline: Daily - Tomorrow
Maximum games played per position: No Max
Allow roster changes: Daily - Tomorrow

So if I'm following correctly, bench players don't count for scoring, but since the league I'm in has no maximum games, I can make a change anytime I want? Thanks again for the insight, first time playing fantasy hockey and slowly getting the hang of it..
