I'm in a keeper league where I keep 8 players. We are entering our second season. I kept St. Louis from last year. Just thinking is it a good time to try and trade him because of his age or should I still wait and see how he does whenever hockey resumes?

I really like Callahan, hence why I drafted him this season, but St. Louis is currently ranked about 50 spots ahead of him. Just based on that, I have a better chance of redrafting Callahan next year than I do St. Louis if the rankings stay the same or similar.
As for Niemi, I do like him as well. Traded Burrows and Anderson for him last season. Wasn't the greatest for me, but did well enough to help me win. We can only keep 1 goalie and since I have Quick, Niemi can't be kept. I was able to draft Niemi with the last pick of the 4th round this season and would be happy if I was able to get him again next year. I rated him above many of the goalies who yahoo has ranked higher such as Dubnyk, Anderson, Backstrom, Pavelec etc
Again everything I'm talking about/wondering about depends on what happens with the lockout. I'm really #$%$ about the lockout as a hockey fan and considering I think I have a really well rounded team and good chance to repeat as champ in my league lol -

I would pick Callahan over St. Louis as he was 6th in Hits last year, scored nearly 30 Goals, and rivals guys like Backes/Giroux in Shots on Goal. He is a strong multi-category fantasy player.
I'd also consider holding onto Niemi. You'd have two solid goalies going into the draft and could focus your energy on skaters alone (maybe pick up a 3rd goalie late in the draft).
Google the following: fantasy PK boost
This will give you a strong argument as to why you should keep Niemi. -

It's a 2nd year keeper league, we had 16 teams in the first year, only 12 teams this year. The extra players from the 4 teams who didn't rejoin were thrown back into the draft. It's H2H with cats of G A +/- PIM PPP SHP Shots Hits, W GAA SV% SO. Players with a * denote keeper from last year (8 keepers, 1 goalie allowed)
C- Stamkos*
C- H. Sedin*
LW- M. Richards*
LW- Nash
RW- St. Louis*
RW- Pominville*
F- E. Staal*
D- Shattenkirk*
D- McDonagh
D- Girardi
D- Seidenberg
UTIL- Backes
BN- Pacioretty
BN- Callahan
BN- Cole
BN- Lupul
G- Quick*
G- Niemi
BN- Varlamov
If the season is cancelled, I think my keepers would now be: Stamkos, Quick, Nash, H. Sedin, E. Staal, Backes for sure. That leaves 2 spots and I can choose from St. Louis, M. Richards, Pominville, Shattenkirk and the others on my roster. I proposed increasing our keeper number to 10 if the season is cancelled, so we'll see what happens. I'd probably use Richards and St. Louis as my last 2 keepers if I had to choose today. I really like Shattenkirk and he's young, but since yahoo has ranked him so low, I think I would just be able to redraft him without much trouble.
St. Louis' age is what scares me, but the fact he's with Stamkos who I also have is what makes me want to keep him. He's 37 now, could have another 5 years or maybe only 1. That's why I'm looking for some advice. -

Need more information here. What other players are you keeping? Who would you keep if not St. Louis? What type of scoring system are you in?
