    What speeds will they reach on the newly repaved Michigan Speedway this weekend? And could we have Lift Off?!?!? Mark Martin topped the speed in practice today at 201 mph. The real speed came down the front stretch at 218 mph!!! NASCAR says they don’t expect to add a restrictor plate to slow it down because they are “expecting” speeds to be slowed when the track rubber-ups & temperatures rise…. but the drivers are talking. Some of the drivers sound somewhat nervous (Biffle) & Jimmy Johnson has been saying that drivers could be “white-knuckling” it. What kind of race will we have this weekend? ….It could get CRAZY with speeds up to 218 mph...you don’t want a driver bumping another driver at those speeds!!!

    Today, 4 drivers broke 200 mph for overall lap speed…Mark Martin, Dale Jr., Truex Jr.& Harvick….

      Good to hear that. Careful what you wish for on that rain. We have been having wild weather up here. Yesterday, Dallas got hit with a hail storm during rush hour trafic that was the size of BASEBALLS. Been dealing w/ Ins. all day. I posted vids of it out on the other MB....too many computer problems now to show.

      Well, I got to watch the rest of the Game & call it night. You & Baby take care & will chat with you later :)

      Sweet dreams, and not that I wish bad luck on anyone anywhere,but hail storms are good for business. I work for a roofing co. We haven't had any severe storms this spring,but this place is growing by leaps n bounds. Thankfully there's plenty of new construction going on here. Cya soon.

      I'm talking about the application that they put on over the concrete...they do it with stain & acid & seal it. I love the look of it but if John is in that business field, I would like to know his "expert" opinion on it.


      Miami is bringing on the HEAT with OK....but it was like this Tues during 2nd...

      Wow 218..... I hope they are doing a test on all the cables restraints protecting the fans. God forbid they could be needed this weekend. 43 cars moving that fast and someone will take flight. I don't want to see a restrictor plate though. This could be a test for removing them all together.... It could be a receipt for destruction also. Lets hope they all understand what they are doing and use good judgement. Even with all that, the perfect mechanical failure could yield the same effect.

        I was thinking of that too MoToR....not only am I worried about those drivers....what about those fans too!!! I am having major computer problems today...don't know why....can't load any vids...but the press conf. following practice was interesting.....people/Nascar & drivers "seem" concerned. Should make for interesting commentating during the race.....


        PS....glad you liked the title....I thought it was cute :)
