    Malkin RW

Great Idea, unfortunately it doesn't apply b/c thats not the way it is. So other managers in my league are benefiting from their players gaining eligibility while Malkin remains only a c. This is taken directly from the notes posted beside a players name on Yahoo fantasy sports. "RW Evgeni Malkin and C Sidney Crosby still haven't recorded a third-period point on the season, but they assisted on D Alex Goligoski's overtime goal Friday night in a home win over the New York Islanders.
    (Yahoo! Sports)"

They referred to Malkin as RW, it's surely just a matter of time now, right? Maybe a couple more days?

    • If every player that played at winger or C got eligibility it would be chaos... that was my point, and that's probably why Yahoo (or their provider) don't constantly update eligibility. The difference for a player like Malkin is that everybody complains about it. And since you can't remove eligibility from a player, and for good reason, the only logical solution to shut up the complainers is to lock position eligibility at the start of the season. With all the effort people put into whining about this I'm surprised this isn't a more popular opinion.

      • Yes, I agree. If at the beginning of the season everyone was given 1 position and was stuck with only 1 position for the entire year, then this would not be a problem. However, since this isn't the case, I choose to let out my frustration by making these posts, even though I know that it won't make a difference to Malkins position.

    • no, not necessarily.
even if yahoo sports refers to Malkin as RW, yahoo is not making the eligibility updates--their data provider is.
doesn't matter what yahoo sports calls him.
