    Playoff Goalie Strategy

So here we go. I am fighting for the Cup this week.
A player dropped today 3/30 is avail on Sat 4/3. If I drop most of these guys tomorrow 3/31 they do nothing for the other managers when avail Sun 4/4. I will show you what I think and give me your opinions on the guys to keep and drop for the finish here...Seeing how I can only play two a night. This list of goalies looked like a huge bunch of bums about a monthe ago! lol

    Miller - 4/1@Leafs, 4/3@Habs - KEEP
    Halak - 4/2@Flyers, 4/3vs.Sabres - DROP
    Howard - 4/1vs.BlueJackets, 4/3vs.Preds, 4/4@Flyers - KEEP
    Rinne - 4/1vs.Blues, 4/3@Wings - DROP
    Elliott - 4/1vs.Canes, 4/3@Isles - DROP
    Rask - 4/1vs.Panthers, 4/3@ Leafs - KEEP

So after tomorrow I feel that Miller, Howard and Rask are the better 3 to keep to finish this up. With the scheds and matchups.

    • Hard to walk away from Rinne, in my opinion. Even though I'm a diehard Bruin fan, I might keep him over Rask, as the Bruins face the Capitals twice down the stretch.

    • I would keep Elliot over Rask... Boston has no offense and Toronto has been playing pretty well lately (by Toronto standards) and could pull an upset over them. Elliot on the other hand gets to play the Islanders... and they scare no one

    • Sounds like a good strategy to me. Do you have to play two goalies every night? You might want to think about dropping the other three after the first as well if your goalie stats are sewn up. I would think they would be with the week Rask is having (90 minutes of shutout hockey after tonight). Load up on offense for the last few days.
