Really??? Are you serious??? You're on a computer connected to a world wide web & you're asking this forum that question?? Try looking it up. Just google websters. It's an online dictionary. Then type in the word you want defined. UN-freakin-believable!!! Put down the bong & quit watching free internet porn. There's a whole wide world out there you should probably check in with once in awhile. Not to mention veto powers are a key form & function of your own government. 39 yrs old & doesn't know what veto means. This is a sad freakin world we live in.

lol I'm assuming you're a child or something. He knows what veto means, he wants to know what it means in the context of fantasy hockey.
For instance the dictionary defines waiver as "an intentional relinquishment of some right, interest, or the like"... but this doesn't tell us anything about having to wait two days before you can pick up a recently dropped player.
Ironic how you set out to make him look foolish, but in reality you simply exposed your own shortcomings.
Better to keep quiet and be perceived a fool, then to speak and remove all doubt.
if your French (probably cause you don't know what is vetoed)
C'est que soit le commissioner de la ligue ou les gens (Depend des seting) Vote si il/ils pense que la trade n'est pas fair pour chaque cote.
Your league (either by commissioner choice or league vote.. depending on league settings) determined a trade was was in collusion, or unethical in some manner, and did not allow the trade to go through.
