As many have done, they dropped kovalev, i have had some bad luck with dropping to early stars that were off to a bad start (kaberle, frolov) both were picked up immediately and just as fast turned their game around. I also have bad start with injuries (Souray, Markov, Gonchar, Spezza, J. Williams, Havlat couple games & now Kovalchuk) I only learned about the IR spot when kovalchuk got injured so everyone else i dropped only Gonchar got picked up though.
Should i drop Kovalev or be patient i know spezza might be out for while so Alex Kovalev has chance to play major again. My other RW are Byfuglien, Havlat, Lupol.
Free agents : Dumont, Holmstrom, Okposo, Stempniak
Also my defense has been all over the place, My plus/minus is very weak in my head to head type league.
After losng, Souray, Markov, Gonchar, Kaberle and few more adds and drops
i currently have Cam Barker, Quincy, Aucoin. Goligoski I can't say they are that weak because none of them were the ones i drafted all of these were FAs but there is couple higher ranks on the FA
FA's - Hamrlik, Demers, Spacek, I. White, Erik Johnson, Wisniewski.
Also goaltending, i have Niemi, and Backstrom,
goalie FA's - Halak, Raycroft, Roloson (had him then dropped), both lightning goalies
My LW's are fine i think and Center will be ok
for LW i have Smyth, Bourque, Kovalchuk, Lupol
Centers: Ribeiro, Tavares, Spezza, and just got Kesler.
I am currently last in the league and i am lost after more than half my team has been changed in a month. please give advice thanks.
I say drop him or trade it you can(that will be tough). Holmstrom would be a good pickup especially if you are in need of plus/minus. Okposo could be a good sleeper as well. Kovalev will cause you nothing but headaches. Hes only the best player in practice, hes getting long in the tooth and 65pts this year is looking like a stretch
