Good grief, he went on IR a week ago. This oversight is killing his owners like me!

Pittsburgh has not put Gonchar on IR. They do not have to put him on IR either. Its totally up to the team if they want to do that. He is listed as day to day and not on the IR.

So Pittsburgh is your issue not Yahoo. Need the number to the Penguins GM? Telll them you need them to put Gonchar on IR -so you can replace him on your fnatasy team and let me know how long they laugh.

scroll down to recent injuries & it clearly states that he's been placed on the IR. if he hasnt then NHL.com needs to get better news reporters.

He's not going on the IR at this point. I get that much. It's very disappointing though. But ya, it is Pittsburgh's doing and not Yahoo's, and that link that someone posted from NHL.com saying Gonchar placed on the Injured Reserve is basically what's kept this going in my opinion.

I have him in 3/4 pools and I know he's not going on the IR now. It sucks, but that's just the way it is.

I mentioned this in an earlier Gonchar related post, but I have another league running on the ESPN Fantasy site, they had Gonch on the IR the day after the injury. I've found their site is really well put together, you guys might want to give it a shot next year if you're not happy with Yahoo's service.

No, I don't work for ESPN, just putting in my 2 cents.

If one player is killing you then your team must be terrible.

Someone, Anyone tell me how one player can kill your team?
Do you only get to use two players a D and goalie??

This kind of stuff is silly, adjust your roster, bench him or wait and that's all you can do. Good grief inhdeed, this is just not worth all the complaining.

it is annoying to have a player that should be on IR but isnt.

I missed out on picking up 2 Dmen that I wanted to replace him with. Other people in my league grabbed them.

I play in a points league & if i have a guy that I cant use then I am missing out on points. Every man counts.

what if the Pens vs ? is the only game going on that day..... I basically get no points b/c he's a waste of space for the time being. But if he were on IR I could have a guy out there earning me some points.

every GUY is important. ever POINT is important.

Ya, I got him in about all my pools too and am just as frustrated as the rest of you. Like someone wrote, every point counts, every game counts. I do private pools with no max games and I'm losing lots of opportunity to start other another D-man I could have picked up now. I've been emailing them back and forth for about 3 days now and I keep getting the same generic emails back, it's really annoying. Every odd email though will include one sentence or paragraph relevant to my question or concern though, but still no IR for Gonchar. That link to NHL.com looks good where it says he was placed on the IR...but every other site doesn't say IR specifically whereas they do for other players on those sites, and since he's back practicing already, I'm assuming he's not going to be going on the IR at all!

        Lame!

Wow! You really know absolutely zero about hockey, don't you?

The guy is one of the best d-men in the NHL, and had 8 pts in 9 games with 5 of those coming on the PP before he was injured, and until last season had missed very few games in his entire 15 year career. Consistent 60 point per season defensemen don't just grow on trees, or anything, ya' know.

Maybe you should learn something about hockey, or at least do some research, before you comment.
