I am in last place in an 8 team H2H league. (i did lose both gonchar and morrow, dropped them for whitney and versteeg)
C: H. Sedin, Ribeiro, Pavelski, Toews
LW: Ovechkin, Tanguay, Versteeg, Demitra
RW: Doan, Dumont, Sykora
D: Phanuef, Vishnovsky, Wideman, Kuba
G: N. Backstrom, Auld, Vokoun
FA i am considering:
C: Arnott, S. Koivu, Krejci
LW: S. Kozlov, Lucic, Hagman
RW: Erat, Hudler, Knuble
D: Zidlicky, Suter, M.A. Bergeron
G: Anderson, Smith, Khabibulin
I am already thinking that I should drop Ribeiro for arnott and vokoun for khabibulin.
considering trading phaneuf, although his trade value is probably at the lowest it will ever be, and also considering putting ovechkin in a package deal for lundqvist.
recommendations or thoughts?
I would drop Ribeiro. I would also think about shopping Phanuef as he has underachived all year but still has name value to most people. If you paired him up with Sedin you may be able to upgrade your center position. I would keep a close eye on the goaltending in Florida as it looks like Anderson is going to take the #1 job from Vokoun so you may want to do something about that. I would stay away from Lundqvist right now as he is in a slump right now and with Backstrom you are set in net especially if the Sens can get winning. That is likely because Auld has given them great goaltending and it is hard to imagine there team not putting up more goals eventually.
guys you should dump - sedin, riberio, vokoun, demitra
guys you should pick up - anderson (and ASAP, before somebody else takes him)
hagman, hudler, krejci, arnott, and maybe knuble would be your top pickups in terms of offense.
