I find it funny reading all these Heatley posts from owners who are panicking about when he'll be put on IR. It must be important for the Sens to do this so that they'll please all these fantasy owners!
I could care less about the Ottawa Senators. If the Senators fall apart because he's out of the line up. I don't care. What I care about is them puting Heatley on the IR. I need to get someone in that slot that will produce, while he's taking care of his shoulder. I just know he's taking up a spot on my roster!!! I hope his recovery is painless and fast. I need him.

who cares about grammar
heatley is out the rest of the season
dont even put him on IR just get rid of his injury prone ass
he blows anyways
hes such a p u s s y hell probably just take vicodin for the rest of the season and come back for the playoffs to b knocked out by SIDNEY CROSBY and the PENGUINS
do you guys have a winners prize in your pools? this stuff can't be THAT important can it?
Heatley's hurt, his team will place him on IR accordingly, yahoo can't do it until the team does....such panic?
I can understand you being tired of seeing heatleys name on here, but i have a better idea then trying to insult the people that want to know whats going on with thier top player.
Try not clciking on the posts that have heatleys name in it. Its a lot like when your mom told you to not touch the stove when you were little cause it would burn. Here, if it helps i will play your mom for you "Son, don't click on those heatley posts, it will annoy you". OK...now you click on them anyways, then take your annoyance out on Heatley owners because you lack the self control to ignore the heatley posts.
Heatley going or not going on the IR makes a difference on what people are going to do with him, a big difference.

Really? Thanks for the advice. I know exactly what the implications are - but obviously Yahoo knows what their doing and he'll be put on IR in due time.
Anyway, it was a lighthearted post. I never said it annoyed me - I said it was funny nor did I insult anyone. Relax.

Ok...to cool people off. I'm not 100% certain of the rules...but here's my educated theory.
If a team, like the Sens, wants to call up a player from the minors...most of the time that player must go through re-entry waivers. HOWEVER, if a players is called up due to someone being placed on the IR, I don't think there is the need for that player to go through waivers. It's an "emergency call-up".
Now, yes, they can call up Foligno (which is probably what they will do later in the season)...however, since Vermette has taken Heatley's spot (I think), and the holes in the 2nd and 3rd lines are plugged by worthy players, there is no need to call someone up to the NHL level.
NHL teams regularly have more than enough players (usually 2 or 3) on an active roster to where they don't need to call up a minor leaguer everytime someone gets injured.
SOOOO...to wrap it up. The Sens will place Heatley on IR if and when they need to call up a minor leaguer to take his place. They will "retroactively" place Heatley on the IR at that point, and allow the call-up to expedite the waiver system.
I understand the frustration, and I'm glad I don't share it...but yahoo has to follow a set of simple and traditional rules. Until Heatley is placed on IR by the Sens, yahoo won't do it. It is the same for any other player. So goes the fantasy hockey season. Hopefully most will be able to solidify a playoff spot and use Heater to bolster thier lineup when he returns. I might even make a trade offer in my keeper league for him.
i have heatley and i was pissed about the whole IR thing.
im working around it though. people need to stop complaining about it and find another way to win. fantasy hockey is still a team thing too, you know.
