10 Team H2H League.
Scoring= (G, A, +/-, PIM, SOG...W, SV%, GAA, SO)
Hey guys. I got proposed a massive trade from the 2nd place team...tell me what you think. It looks "decent" as I am in first, and this would weaken his goaltending...his team is the only real competition.
I give: Lecavalier, Heatley, Kopitar, Stillman, Turco
I get: Ovechkin, Datsyuk, Jokinen, Jagr, Brodeur
Is this trade worth it for me? I know Heatley and Vinny are amazing, but acquiring Brodeur is tempting. And, I would win the SOG catergory every week lol...This is my team...tell me what you guys think.
C: Lecavalier, Getzlaf, Sundin, Kopitar
LW: Zetterberg, Stillman
RW: Heatley, Perry, Rolston
D: Lidstrom, Zubov, Chara, Whitney
G: Turco, Bryzgalov, Legace
There are positional requirements...this would leave me with 4 LW and 2 RWs, this is the only thing I don't really like about it...but again, the Brodeur upgrade for me, and giving him a crappy goaltending situation could be huge.
*I've tried to get Brodeur in smaller trades, but this guy only likes to move star players*
Thanks in advance.
*Sorry for posting this again, but I forgot to add Jagr and Stillman...not sure if you can edit on these forums*
is this like a 8 player league or something? im curious as to how exactly you drafted both heatley and lecavalier.
Now on to the next type of players. You have sundin, and jagr who are good. Turco, is Turco, and you cant do anything about it.
Final answer, your first for a reason, dont mess with it.
Decline, and keep on winning =)

Lol, it's a 10 Team League...I had a pretty good draft and made some good trades. Drafted Lidstrom, Jagr, Zetterberg, Lundqvist in that order...so got 2 potential first rounders late in the draft. Moved Jagr for Vinny very early in the season. Then acquired Malkin for Kopitar, Ribeiro, Visnovsky. Finally, packaged Vinny, Malkin, Gionta, Frolov for Heatley, Sundin, Getzlaf, Perry.
Then traded Lundqvist+Stastny for Vinny+Legace..and that's my team today...with other moves I can't remember.
Normally I am not a big fan of swapping rosters in a single deal but in this instance I think it is one that makes a heck of a lot of sense.
This is a very tough one to assess as the guts of the deal is not so much about swapping points and potential, but in balancing your roster.
Broduer alone makes the deal enticing and this is probably the only upgrade to that position that you will need to make as Legace and Brysgalov have decent enough stats.
Sure you lose a couple of top tier players in Heatly and Lecavalier, but even playing on terrible teams, Jokinen and Ovechkin will help soften their loss, Oli and Alex are also no slouches themselves.
Datsyuk obviously brings some scoring punch and the future success of Jagr is unknown, but really he's only costing you Stillman - who we all are aware, will return to his former 0.75 self.
To be honest I think the other GM has done you a tremendous favour in proposing this trade and you should accept it.
And if he does maybe you could take Jagr, a left winger and Brysgalov and trade them for a half decent right wing and a very decent goalie.
don't do it, lecavs better than datsyuk, heatleys better then ovechkin, jokinens better then kopitar, jagr and stillman are pretty much equal right now and brodeurs better then turco...its not worth it for you.
