Which goalies should I play if I'm hoping for a shutout...pick 2 of 3?
I'm down 6-2 in my playoff matchup and desperate for a shutout. The only chance I think I have is to get a shutout and hoping my skaters can make up the difference. My goalies are Holtby (vs TB), Bernier(@ Ana), Backstrom (@ Cls) and we play 2 goalies.
The difference in our matchups is
I have 3 W, 3.33 GAA, .893 SV%, 0 SHO
He has 5 W, 2.08 GAA, .926 SV%, 0 SHO
He has Howard (vs Stl), Miller (vs NJ), Crawford (vs Nsh)...I'm hoping that he ends up starting Howard and he gets rocked by the Blues earlier in the afternoon so I have a better idea of the situation and maybe I could aim for a better SV%. As it stands now though, I'm looking at who gets me best chance of shutout and hoping for my skaters to make up progress...I'm leaning towards Bernier (always solid) and Backstrom (easier opponent and Wsh always gives up 40 shots....what do you think? Thanks!
