Team A gets: Stastny/Guerin(pit)/Brodeur
Team B gets Perry/Huet/Neimi
Keeper league G/A/PIMS/+/-/GWG/Shots/face off wins
Goaltenders catergories Wins/Loses/GAA/Saves
Team A already has Getzlaf/Kovalchuk/Ovechkin/Boyle for keepers ===Other goalie is Backstrom who is good but Brodeur now becomes my keeper goalie League of 12 teams
***Stastny face off king*****
Looks like foil knuckles just won't stop making comments trying to make himself feel better about losing the trade....Knowing it makes my team more rounded to finish off the season...Foil knuckles also was making trade offers to get Kovalchuk but couldn't get the deal done..Giving up Gagne wasn't a hard choice and Doughty gets alot of points but I win the goals and assists category very week...
If your reason for this trade is next year's keepers, you're an absolute fool to trade away Perry for Brodeur...elite RW's are not that plentiful and Perry is at the very top of the list contributing in every one of your league's categories, other than faceoffs of course.
Bad trade imo.
Oilerfan forgot to tell you that Team B already has Heatley/Iginla/Kopitar/Alfredsson/Kipper. Team B then turned and flipped Alfredsson for M. Koivu.
So there is a bigger picture. Team B really upgraded Stastny to M. Koivu (better shots, points and the same amount of faceoffs), upgraded Alfredsson to Perry (don't need to explain), and also covered himself in net with one of the best NHL teams this year. Team A should be worried once NJ starts to rest him for the playoffs (plus he is in a real bad slump 2 wins in like 14 games).
Our league you can only keep 6 players in which you can only keep one goalie & you have to keep a D-man. So Team B keepers look like: Heatley, Iginla, Perry, Kopitar, Phaneuf & Kipper.
Team A also now has no one on his RW where Team B is more balanced throughout his line-up.
It's is a close race in the standings and has been a fun year. Oilerfan only gave you guys half the info, so I thought this would help.
I personally say B wins only because its a keeper league, if it wasn't keeper then A would win for sure.
Guerin is past his prime and is starting to show his old age, he's gonna retire within the next 3, and Brodeur as good as he is will be retiring within 3-5 years so It's really up to you if you are willing to sacrifice a bit now for more later or wanna go for a push right now. good luck!
