well id say go with team B for a few reasons. i love spezza and kovy dont get me wrong but marleau and seteguchi are really getting it done and with a great +/-. both being on loosing squads id say kovy and spezzas +/- is gona be garbage this year. also with marleau and seteguchi you have double the chance of getting points each night for one of the most scoring teams in the NHL right now. with seperate kovy and spezza you are betting that each one will get their hand in the cookie jar each night where as with marleau and seteguchi; one of them is gona get it done each night if not both.

oh and look at defense and goalies for this situation. ottawa and atlanta.. please.....nabokov- yes please. boyle blake- yes please veternan knowledge. or a failing schneider paired with a rookie and gerber/auld for +/- no way.. team B by a shot THIS YEAR

Thanks for all the input and I am happy to see the stir this trade caused. FYI I went with Kovalchuk and Spezza. My reasoning was that Kovalchuk has four straight 40+ goal seasons and every year Atlanta sucked. Setoguchi is tough to let go but without Thornton we would not even dispute this trade and in my mind San jose can throw three other guys on his line in his spot and not see a drop in production.Marleau has only topped 80+ points once in his career while Spezza has ability to hit at least that if Ottawa turns around their locker room situation around in time.
