I'm dropping a D-man to have an extra Forward. I will have an empty D-slot for the remainder of the season, but I think the extra Forward will more than make up for it.
There are plenty of other players available also: J. Toews, B. Boyes, J. Franzen, M. Naslund, M. Hejduk, A. Hemsky, etc.
My current team is:
P. Marleau C/LW
P. Sharp C/LW
D. Setoguchi RW
D. Boyle D
C. Ehrhoff D
E. Nabokov G
I want to drop C. Ehrhoff for someone that will maintain/out produce in most Stats. (which I should have done at the start of the season).
I know it's not wise to load up players on the same team, but in this case, it has worked out.
I currently have even or losing records in SHP, SOG, and FW. If I focus on games left to play I should p/u J. Carter, P. Elias, or M. Koivu.
However, PHI and WAS have more players in the Top 25 in points currently.
I updated the title to my current thoughts, with honorable mention to J. Pavelski and K. Versteeg.
Thanks for reading.
First off, how is this possible??
Your league clearly doesn't favor D-men given the catagories you've shown. Good thought to drop one, maybe 2 if the league permits. Koivu, and Carter both likely will cool off. Neither can keep up their pace, so don't rely on them for a long haul. Backstrom plays with solid players, and Roy has shown to be a proven scorere Personally, I think you'd be better off going with Boyes. He can give you G, A, PPP, GWG, SOG, and is starting to heat up. He has a terrible +/-, but most of that is from Oct/Nov, and you can hope he continues to get better.
