Elite Fantasy Keeper League 09
READ THE RULES - I will post the draft information (Id, password, etc) at the bottom of the page.
I will only allow people to remain in this league if I deem them WORTHY. This means people will need to have a lengthy fantasy resume and the ratings should be ATLEAST over 60% (I will check to make sure). Managers who don't meet the criteria WILL BE KICKED OUT, no hard feelings. You will have to be active throught the year (as there is incentives for managers in the consolation bracket to keep updated, which I will mention a little later in the post). This method has been successful in previous leagues I've joined or been a commish in - hence it will continue to be implemented.
Secondly, this is a KEEPER LEAGUE so you should draft accordingly. You will be required to keep (if you wish to keep less, that's your choice but you will replenish through the draft) ...

Thirdly, I assigned 5 weekly transactions for the REGULAR SEASON (this number is negotiable) - in the POST SEASON there will be 20 moves for the whole playoff (this is also negotiable based on what the managers want). One of the main reasons is so there is no streaming of players. While there is a certain risk involved in streaming, most managers dislike it and it can be unfair to people who don't have a ton of free time.
Fourthly, TRADES. Most trades in this league will be allowed. The reason is because hopefully all the managers will be competent so there isn't a "we have to protect the manager's asset because he doesn't know any better" issue. If you can outfox another manager in a trade then kudos to you and that's an advantage you should use. For example if someone trades a big name for a not so big name because they desperately want to fill a need, that will be allowed (if it looks suspicious I'll make a post to know the reasoning). The only way it will be vetoed is if it's something really really obviously crazy like Heatley for Chelios - I'm sure you understand what I mean.
Fifthly (this is getting crazy lol), DRAFT PICKS are allowed to be traded. You can only trade picks for the following year so that we can keep things simple. Inclusion of draft picks in a trade can be compensation for managers who are hesitant to make trades. I will keep a log of all the draft picks traded and will post them if/when a manager(s) wants to view them.
Lastly, the DRAFT itself will be random. Based on the standings, next year's draft will be in REVERSE ORDER OF THE FINAL STANDINGS. Which means whoever came in first place will draft last and so on BUT, and this is IMPORTANT - the person who will draft first in next year's draft will be the manager who WINS the consolation bracket. Whoever comes second in the consolation bracket will draft 2nd and so on. Here's how it will look.
12th pick - 1st place (REGULAR SEASON)
11th pick - 2nd place (REGULAR SEASON)
10th pick - 3rd place (REGULAR SEASON)
9th pick - 4th place (REGULAR SEASON)
8th pick - 5th place (REGULAR SEASON)
7th pick - 6th place (REGULAR SEASON)
6th pick - 12th place (CONSOLATION BRACKET)
5th pick - 11th place (CONSOLATION BRACKET)
4th pick - 10th place (CONSOLATION BRACKET)
3rd pick - 9th place (CONSOLATION BRACKET)
2nd pick - 8th place (CONSOLATION BRACKET)
1st pick - 7th place (CONSOLATION BRACKET)
