Alright, so I won my 10 man keeper league last year. Kept Trout Braun and Heyward. Traded Heyward and Philips for Miggy, traded Braun after the steroid talk for a first round pick next year.
Currently, my starters are
Anthony Rizzo (Lind) (Hart DL)
Andrelton Simmons (Tulo on DL) (Franklin)
Miggy (Lawrie DL)
Stanton (Reddick, Markakis)
Best pitchers are Bumgarner, Fister and Gallardo.
I'm currently 7-4 and being killed by the guy in second in my division. My team just flat out isn't putting up points this year. I don't know what exactly the problem is, as my pitching usually has more points than my opponents. I'm thinking about trading Cabrera for another first round pick at the deadline if I don't feel like a threat for the championships. Also, I'm 4th in scoring but still barely winning. Thoughts?
I find that you can get a lot of use from players ranked less than 50%. A lot of managers seem to have the idea that if a player is not owned by say 65%, that player is not really any good. I have 5 batters, 3 picthers in my HtH league and I'm in first, 35 games over .500. Before you think there is not any competition, 6 of the teams in this leagye are at least 10 games over .500. Also don't be afraid to change up your line-ups daily. Just thoughts, hopefully it's helpful.
