You can go over the max innings.
If you are close to the limit at the end of the day, and go over the limit the next day the stats still count. So if you are at 1395 innings, and have 5 starters playing on the day you go over the limit all their stats will count for that day, but any after that day will no longer count. -

Check the rules. You can go over 1400 the last day you are under 1400. Say you have 1399 IP at the start of Oct 1st, if you put 6 starters that day every inning they pitch WILL count as you still are short of the limit at the start of the day. After Oct 1st your pitching stats will be showing on the stat tracker but will not be recorded.

If you are at 1399 innings and your pitchers pitched 25 innings the last day all those innings count. Same is true if you have 1 OF game left and you start 3 OF's the last day you will essentially get 2 bonus games. Any stats the next day would not count.

if you started the day with less than 1400 all pitching stats are added.so if you had 1399 and your guys pitched 35 innings your total will be1434 and all stats count.once you are over 1400 it stops adding

All innings count on the day you go over.
This question happens every year from owners that think they stop at 1400. -

No, that particular owner took advantage of a rule about max innings. ALL innings count the day that you go over the limit. So that owner realized he was close and loaded up on starters to get to the 1428. The same applies to hitters too, although in most leagues, the only position you can do that is OF.
