I'm in a deep 20 team roto league. I even have C.J. Wilson in keeper consideration. Yeah, I know. Anyway, would Samardzija be a better keeper option? He had his ups and downs, but he proved that he can be a high K pitcher all season long, and his spot on the rotation is pretty much set in stone. On the other side, he won't win many games (that might be compensated in a standard league, but in my league we count losses too, so that's a problem). Does he have any upside? Or this is the best we can expect from him? I won't even ask about the Cubs' chances of being a winning team.
Other SP in my team currently include Wilson, Matt Harrison, Tim Hudson, Tyler Skaggs and Brandon Beachy on the DL (stuck with a multi year keeper spot). Could even go fishing on FA for aging Chris Carpenter, or one of the youngsters (Bauer, Miller, Bundy, etc).
