Stats

Who determines the stats? They just gave K.Jansen a save when he entered the gave it was a 5 run lead and then he gave up a home run and then won by 4. I thought that was not a save since he gave up the run in the 9th? Any comment

  He entered the game with the score 6-1, but the bases were loaded. This means that the tying run was in the on-deck circle, thus making it a save situation.
