  • Need to make a playoff run. HELP!

    My team has been up and down all season. I am 7th out of 10 and trying to make a playoff run.

    any suggestions on what should I do?

    c - yadier molina
    1b- Albert pujols
    2b- ian kinsler
    ss- espinosa
    3b-chris johnson
    of- melky cabrera
    of- drew stubbs
    of- austin jackson
    util- colby rasmus
    util- andre ethier
    bench- dan uggla

    SP- Hamels, Sale, lincecum lester, lohse, josh johnson, mike minor, billingsley, ricky romero
    rp- axford, aceves, addison reed

    notable offensive free agents: Carl crawford, carlos gomez, morneau, alex gordon, desmond jennings.

    pitching free agents: paul maholm, scott feldman, kris medlen, joe blanton, beaven, bucholz.

      you need to trade 1 of your top starting pitchers for a upgrade at 3B or O.F.

      Do you 'stream' pitchers (pickup free agent SP's and play the favorable matchups and then drop them)? If you only have a 10 team league, you probably have a strong pool of free agent pitchers, as you stated a few....I would try to trade your SP and try to upgrade your offense and then just pick up SP's in favorable matchups. You probably have allot of ground to cover if you're in 7th, so you'll need to do something risky to make up ground.

      i was thinking of maholm for romero too, but yadier has almost the same numbers as morneau...

      i was thinking of maholm for romero too, but yadier has almost the same numbers as morneau but with a way better avg. plus i wouldnt have a catcher
