Dov: I'm usually pretty cynical about hitting production far above the norm, and expect the hitter to regress to more normal levels. But, I can't find any warning lights in Perez' peripherals. He hasn't been lucky, he's been good. The only thing I can see that might bring him down to Santana's level is if pitchers start pitching him off the strike zone, and he starts going for bad pitches, because he doesn't walk much. If I had a choice of either in a draft today, I would take Perez. Good luck, either way.
