I would go with Middlebrooks but Plouffe is a nice option too. Now that Youkilis is gone to the White Sox , Middlebrooks value goes up especially with Boston's lineup is stronger than Minnesota's. He also has about the same amount of hits like Plouffe but with less at bats. It's true that Plouffe has more HRs but what Plouffe has that might give him more value is his multi-position eligibility (4 position eligibility). Middlebrooks is younger and has more potential. So if I had to choose, he would be my choice. Hope it was helpful.
