Lets say Bautista hits 24 less homers this year than he did last year. Thats 30 home runs, and probably 90-100 RBI. I don't care if he hits .250 for the year. That is great production from the 3B position. Everyone ranks players differently according to their own feelings on how you perceive a player will produce. Arguing about it is pointless, because none of us are going to know a damn thing until the season is over. Then it starts all over again. Just draft people who you like, and thats about it. If you win your league, great, but until then, everyone needs to stop pretending like they somehow know what every player is going to accomplish. Projections are fine, but going to the point of actually arguing with other people about something that you have absolutely no control over just makes a lot of people look silly.
I once got a meal from McDonalds where I wanted the larger sweet tea cup with sweet tea, rather than the medium cup they gave me.
She proceeded to empty the medium cup into the larger sweet tea cup leaving it about half full and handed it back to me.
I just told you your rankings are messed up, and how to fix them. I told you to do some research, which you clearly havent done to better understand why I view value the way I do. You have done neither, and rather wish me to airplane the information down your throat.
Your a grown boy, gather the info yourself. Until then, dont make rankings.
Because he has no track record, and on draft day you go with the proven commodity in the early rounds. If this were based only on last year, he'd probably be in the top 3 overall, but it doesn't pay to draft an older player who had only 1 big season as opposed to the rest who have been consistent.
