General Message Board
I am starting a 12-16 team Keeper league with a buy in of $100 per team. Prize payouts would be as follows (12 teams/14 teams/16 teams):
1st at the end of the season $300/$350/$400
Winning the overall championship $500/$550/$600
Runner up $250/$300/$350
3rd place in playoffs $150/$200/$250
In addition I will pay the additional fee to get a trophy made up and mailed for first place each year.
League is standard 5x5 H2H league with categories as follows:
Batting- R, RBI, HR, SB, AVG (Could change to OBP if everyone wants)
Pitching- W, L, K, ERA, SV
Each team would be limited to 35 transactions per season. Trades do not count towards the transaction count. All trades would be reviewed by myself and if a trade was thought to be too unbalanced it will be rejected unless the players involved show good cause to allow the trade. If a player in the league has a problem with the trade they may also state their case and I may agree or disagree.
I would like this to be a league with serious managers. No one quits. If it appears that a team has quit I will attempt to notify that owner to see if they want to give up their team. If they do I will find another owner.
This is a keeper league and teams will keep 4 players from one season to the next. You must keep 4 players.
You may trade draft picks this year and in future years as long as it is a balanced and fair trade.
Draft order will be determined based on order or finish each season.
All payments may be mailed in the form of a check to myself or via paypal. All the money will be kept in my paypal account and any additional interest added to the money will be paid out to the overall winner.
Draft date will be determined after getting the required number of teams. We will only have an even number of teams. Draft will be live online unless everyone opts for an e-mail draft. If payment has been sent and we do not get enough teams for the league then a refund will be sent.
A little about me:
I have been playing fantasy sports for more than a decade but only since 2006 with this account (last one was mistakenly deleted along with my trophies :( )
Just since 2006 I have won the following trophies on yahoo:
Baseball (2 first, 2 third)
Basketball (3 first, 1 third)
Football (2 first, 1 second, 3 third)
14 trophies in total (yahoo says 16 for some reason)
I am active in setting my lineups. I may not be very active on the message boards but be assured that with my iphone I read every single message even while I am at work.
I'm looking for this to be a league that we can continue for years to come. If you have any additional questions e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I would like to join in your league, I managed last year in the Yahoo Fantasy League (free) and did pretty well, would like to add a little more excitement into this years fantasy playing. How many teams do you have signed up so far?

So far its just you and me so I won't look at collecting any money until we get closer to the 10 team mark. I am also in 2 other money leagues and have really enjoyed how they are more competitive because people have something to play for. Send me your e-mail address and tomorrow when the yahoo leagues open up I will send you an invite:
I probably should have mentioned positions for the league:
2 C,1 1B, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 SS, 1 MI, 1 CI, 1 RF, 1 CF, 1 LF, 2 OF, 3 SP, 2 RP, 4 P, 6 B for a total of 28 players plus 2 DL spots.
