Need expert fantasy advice to advance!!!

R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OBP, W, SHO, SV, K, ERA, SCORE

    7 1 15 2 .345 .433 3 0 3 22 5.57 1.48 4

    20 4 14 4 .276 .358 1 0 3 42 2.74 1.10 6

I'm the top stat line my opponent is the bottom. I need to make some drastic moves this weekend in order to advance as I'm currently losing 6-4. Streaming pitchers seems worthless since I'm down so many k's already and ERA and WHIP are shot, I did pick up the last closer available (hensley) to hopefully break that tie. My only thought was to scoop up all of the stolen base guys in every position available in free agents but I still would have to keep my slim RBI lead which currently stands at 1. Is this the only solution or does anyone out there have anything else? Best case scenario I suppose is having one of my remaining starters throw a Shutout but I'm not counting on that. Please Help!!!

    • This isn't rocket science, but here goes:

If Hisanori Takahashi is available he can help with saves and is rated at RP & SP so you can slot him in with two other RPs for Saves.

For offense, I'm banking on the Cleveland vs. KC series to be a slugfest.

For shutouts, maybe Gee on SAT or Hudson on SUN while you are streaming, but those are kind of difficult to predict.

        14 4 27 4 .361 .439 4 0 6 39 3.64 1.36 5

So I'm only down 1 point now. Not sure if it still makes sense to pick starts up sunday since i'm not going to make up 30 k's although he is benching his starters to avoid giving up era/whip. So i guess 30 ks is possible but the waiver wire is not full of high k/9 guys. Im sticking with the sb strategy this weekend and sending out a lineup of

        Vmart
        Prince
        Young jr
        Figgins
        Andrus
        Cargo
        Rajai
        Podsednik
For my utility spot Im currently going with zimmerman but could also toss in heyward uggla or billy butler. This is really going to come down to the wire and im afraid i might get burned in power cats starting all these fast guys. Whatever its my only option at this point. For tomorrow I can pick up gardner or austin jackson.

    • Stream 7 or 8 guys between tomorrow and Sunday to take wins and K's

    • stream pitchers to win w and k. perfect scenario as era and whip dont matter.

      • Totally agree. You dont have losses, and for all intents and purposes, WHIP and ERA dont exist. You MUST win Wins and you need to take a shot at Ks. HOWEVER, you also have to max out closers every night. Dont have an empty spot there.

As for offense, you need to Win RBis and your team is VERY CAPABLE of overtaking a 4-1 HR deficit.

Max out your power hitters tonight. You have a big enough lead in AVG and OBP to justify the possible loss in those cats.

The only way a stolen base plan works is if you do it from Monday. Trying to steal steals over the weekend is more likely going to be your demise. The ONLY way I would pursue steals is if you can start Crisp and R Davis for Sat AND Sun, OR if you narrow the gap to one tonight. Remember, the best SP guys steal a bag 1-2x per week. Adding the right guy on the right day is veryy difficult.
