Pitcher enters the game with a lead of no more than three runs and pitches for at least one inning
Pitcher enters the game, regardless of the count, with the potential tying run either on base, at bat or on deck (even 1/3 inning)
He pitches for at least three innings
Basically. he didn't fit any of these situations. You need to pitch 1 inning(3 batters) with a 3 run(or less) lead, or you can pitch less than 1 inning(1 or 2 batters) if the current pitcher pitched himself into a situation that could lose the game...
I have him too, but he would only get a save (when coming in with 2 outs) if he was protecting a 1 run lead OR 2 base-runners on (representng the other 2 runs). Basically, he'd need to get all 3 outs with a 3 run lead, 2 outs with a 2 run lead, etc..
