    Weekly player adds Limit

Quick question... new to fantasy baseball, joined a public league that has 6 player adds a week. after my draft, if i want to add players, do i still have to drop another player to even out? or can i add up to 6 players a week WITOUT dropping anyone? I wouldn't think so, but i want to make sure before i get screwed on the first waiver week after the draft... thanks in advance.

    • Correct me if I'm wrong but i believe it is a max of 6 "acquisitions" per week. This means that you can add up to 6 players to your team per week.

As for your question, you likely can't just add players. There is still a roster limit that can be seen in your scoring and settings page. For example my league has these roster positions:

C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, Util, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL

Simple counting shows that the max roster size for this league is 23 and one DL slot. Thus just because I'm allowed 6 adds a week doesn't mean I can add a player if I already have 23 guys on my roster. I must drop a player too. Hope that clears things up.

    • you still have to drop players to get players on FA/Waivers. It's just a 6 player a week limit to try and stop streaming.
