Some leagues started playoffs this week, including both of my H2H groups (one has 12 teams, the other 14). We have six teams in each league advancing to the playoffs; the first and second seeds draw a bye for Week 22 while the teams seeded third through sixth compete. All others have been eliminated ... no consolation bracket.
According to the 2009 rules, the only leagues with a consolation bracket are those in which four teams qualify for the playoffs. Leagues with six or eight teams qualifying for playoffs do not have a consolation bracket.

If this is truly the case, that is completely messed up on Yahoo's part. We've been a 12 team league for years with 6 teams making the playoffs and the rest going to the consolation bracket. There should have been an announcement of some sort that this change was being implemented. We use the consolation bracket to determine draft slots for the next year.
Teams in my league are going to be pissed if this is the case.
I was having the same issue in our league. I emailed Yahoo and have yet to hear back. That was 9 hours ago. The teams in our league who would be in the consolation bracket have matchups this week but there's no consolation bracket to see. Hopefully it's just a glitch that can be fixed soon.
