i have bedard on my dyno team, cant belittle my own player, he might demand a trade off the team!
seriously tho, actually i was serious above, hes cheaper this year. i dont blame anyone for avoiding him but his ceiling is incredibly high and hes not gonna cost a lot.
if you do take bedard, make sure you dont have other injury prone pitchers on the team like SCOTT KAZMIR
This list is ridiculous. First you name a bunch or no-brainers then you put guys like Kazmir on the list with no justification. By the way, at the bottom of your post "don't even think about drafting" - did you put any thought or research into it at all or just blind guessing like the list. A guy like Marquis for example, did you look into or think about the fact that he is now a Rockie or just assume he will do bad? FYI, Marquis has a career ERA under 2.40 at Coors field and over the past 3 years there his ERA is 1.32. Maybe, Colorado is a good fit for him?

watch the mock draft and see when that moron matt romig picks kazmir. watch. kazmir is a bum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! any self respecting expert will tell you not to take him when you public leaguers reach for him.
jason marquis in colorado? are you freaking kidding me?
do us all a favor and punch yourself in the face
actually I agree with almost every pitcher on the list except Harden and Jurrens. Hardens been going around 10th round which is certainly fine to take a chance on him and Jurrens which you can get around round 15-18 is worth taking a chance on.

there is no upside with jurrjens.
hes an injury risk who isnt worth wasting a roster spot over.
harden will never pitch a full season again... why dont ya draft mark prior too, hes going in rd 49. well worth the risk

kamir too injury prone, walks a lot of batters
in fantasy baseball you cannot be lured to injury prone pitchers because of high Ks. there are so many injuries to pitchers that your team cannot afford to have a risk as the backbone of the rotation.
lee: do you honestly believe in a repeat? this has jermaine dye written all over it
dice k: huge whip will lead to higher era, hes overrated due to boston and east coast media bias. he walks a lot of batters, maybe because japan tries to limit runs and america tries to score em. in japan his arm was seriously abuse and showed signs of wear n tear last year.
zambo: hes overrated because of chicago fans, theyre not too bright. plus hes due for a big injury. he had shoulder inflamation last sept. bad sign of things to come. his Ks were also down last year, by a lot. a winning team has a whip of 1.21 and zambo pumps out 1.30

if you want a good pitcher, pick pitchers with good whip. picking pitchers with good whip leads to looking for pitchers with good command or low walks.
kazmir gets hurt way too often
sanchez is too raw, and injury prone. more popular guy cuz of his K's.
jair is injury prone and had a large workload increase last season
regarding young pitchers who havent reached 200 ip yet. if they make a 30 IP jump, it usually leads to injuries... its a sound theory that doesnt get much pub.
2008 pitchers who made the jump
this seasons pitchers to avoid (30 IP jump is cut off)
lester 74 IP increase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lincecum 49 (uses body more, doesnt ice arm, freak of nature)
greg smith 48
josh danks 45
JAIR JURRJENS 45
JONATHAN SANCHEZ 32
gavin floyd 31
there really isnt much need to explain why you shouldnt draft any of these losers, but since this is the public message board..... ill explain why you do not want to draft a certain player if you inquire.
