I would bet the house they both win their Division. Rays AL East, Marlins NL East. Why not? They both have great young pitching and even better young hitting. They're both hungry!! I like both of them. Move over Yankoffs and Mets; Welcome Marlins and Rays :)
Josh Johnson is a beast and a STUD!! I bet the farm he is in Cy Young talks by All Star Break!! His stints of healthy playing have been bad a$$. He's big and tall, throws gas, and has great deception. His K's are high too. This guy is a 2nd-3rd round pitcher. Meaning your 2nd or 3rd pitcher in the draft!
You really want to rely on Ricky Nolasco? After the year he had last year, he has shown in the past his inconsistencies, so until he proves what he can do for more than half a season, I can't put Florida up in that mix. Andrew Miller's progress hasn't shown enough yet either, he's gonna need a quantum leap over how he performed last year. The bullpen also being filled with a ton of young arms, we'll see how they hold up come July, August, and ultimately September.
Although i think the Yanks are primed to win the AL East, I agree with the Fish. I plan on targeting Johnson as my 4th pitcher as he was a beast in the 2nd half of last year. Sure he has his injury concerns (but which pitcher doesn't it seems), I think he can be a 15 game winner. I wish they hadn't traded Jacobs, but I hear they have a beast from the minors who is gonna play 1b for them.
