I noticed that since he went on the bereavement list 2400+ people have dropped Chone Figgins. He may have been a disappointment this season, but I can't imagine that this will continue as soon as he gets back. He was on the DL twice, but this last week I started him everyday and got a nice 4 run, 2rbi, 2 sb for the week. There aren't that many with 2B designations that pick that up that regularly. Is there something I'm not getting here? Does bereavement take that long?
because of his poor performance he's been riding the bench for me. but i'm not dumping him yet. i am trading away my starting 2 baseman J. Lopez so I will count on Chone and A. Ramirez of Twins to play that spot.
I'm in a non-keeper league and use him as an OF. I had to drop him coz Alexie Ramirez is waving in the FS list with nothing but positive reviews and comments from yahoo experts.
In a keeper league, I would have benched him though.
They dont know how long he'll be gone,,, depends on what happens, I have him on 3 of my teams and I'll just bench til return........ I've benn watching the FA list for my other 4 teams I'll grab him if he's there......

I dropped him for Ludwick in one league and Kemp in another. I maintained him in my 12-teamer because in a deeper league he should still have more value than some of the scrubs on the FA list. His father is not dead but suffering from a stroke, so we don't know how long he plans to be with him.
