my lineup is as follows
garret atkins (i have no room for him)
Since i need to improve on a few stats i just made a trade and it went through, tell me if you thought it was a good or bad more (explanations please)
i wanted to get rid fo volquez while he had high value (this trade was before his terrible start tonite), i think his value is at its peak and he will fall off in the second half. Beckett is soldi with a very low whip and a high strikeout rate and his ERA will be mid to low 3's with a 1.15 WHIP max and he will get more wins, its boston.
Secondly, i have no room to start atkins who is great, so i figured i get rid of howards .220 batting average, get rid of figgins cuz hes injured often, he doesnt bring any runs in, all he is good for is 100 runs, 35-40 SBs, and a .270 BA.
Now i have phillips in there giving me power up and down my roster, i can put in atkins in the utility spot and get his high average put to work (predict he'll hit 25-100-.308)
I have the league blown away by 35 saves or more so i dont need any closer, even if it is soria (my best one)
I need a solid ace because myers blows (im holding him just waiting for him to come around)
so i picked up scott baker, dropped headley and picked up sheffield
My roster is solid now to me, let me know what you think
Furthermore, i have a trade out where im offering atkins for ellsbury (most likely to be accepted)
there are 12 people in the league, its a cash prize league between friend 500 bucks on the line. LET ME KNOW THANKS
hey dude. Is it time to drop Ludwick and pick up Hermida, Willingham, Ankiel, or Sheffield from the FA? Ludwick is absolutely sucking these weeks.
Also, Is trading Hunter Pence for Rios a good move for me for 2nd half? I
also need a catcher. I drafted Varitek and he sucked so I dropped him for Pierzynski. Is that good? other Catcher available are Flores, Pudge, Snyder, thats all the notable ones left. I play in a 12 team mix roto league
my pitchers are as followed for a weekly league
SP - Jake Peavy
SP - Brandon Webb
SP - Cole Hamels
SP - Rich Harden
SP - Tim Lincecum
RP - Brain Fuentes
RP - Joe Nathan
P - ???
Should i put Justin Duchscherer (8-4, 1.99 era) or Trevor Hoffman (30 Ks, 15 Saves)
ince Clint Barmes just came off of the DL, I have to make a decision on who to drop to activate him (if anyone). Here's my roster, 10 team keeper league with 5x5 h2h scoring:

all signs point to no on haren. those three will be fine. they should play every day
sox are hot, dbacks are sucking, beckett beat the dbacks last year and is undefeated at home, while haren is 1-3 vs the sox
however, haren did beat the sox last year and did pretty well against the al east in general. this is why the dbacks got haren; to break up losing streaks
still, bench him, this is fantasy; only the numbers on the last day count
12 team Roto:
I would like to trade away some excess closers and starters to improve my offense. My biggest needs for pitching is WHIP and ERA (I'm getting only 4 points for each of them). Although it is roto so every category is important in the long run.
My starters are:
Beckett, Bedard, Verlander, Harang, Shields, Cain, and Haren.
My closers are Capps, Valverde, Rauch, Wagner and Gonzalez (on the DL).
If I were to part with 2 starters and 1 closer trying to get the biggest return while keeping quality for myself, which would I deal?
Keeping in mind that I want to deal the pitchers for quality hitters, I would want to replace some with quality FA. Available FA starters include: Pettite, Guthrie, Lirano, Buchholz, McGowan, and Weaver. Who might I want from this crew.
Any other advice that comes to mind would be appreciated.
line-up what do you think
