Seems like you've got a little bit of everything but not a lot of anything. Pick a stat category or two you want to focus on and go shopping for a free agent or trade that will help at those positions. Look for the stat categories where you're within closest reach of the next person ahead of you to make up some quick ground. Once you make up a little ground, pick another category.
Remember, it's a long baseball season. If you can get yourself within the top five or six of your league by the trade deadline, you may be able to finish the season with a trophy. -
Break up the right side of your infield. Maybe shop Hamilton see if anyone make an offer you cannot refuse. and if someone does throw in either your 3rd baseman or SS for one more good player. Maybe a solid pitcher or you could throw in a pitcher and go 3 of yours for 2 great of theirs. But look at the free agent pool and see if it is worth it.

Which are strong categories? Do you usually win pitching or hitting categories? Also, what are the minimum pitching start for your league?

Pray that football season gets here soon ---- I have the same problem in one of my leagues. I am 8th of 10. Watch for some of the minor league call ups and hopefully you will find that diamond in the rough --- don't give up hope there is still a lot of baseball left

if this league is head to head then usually 3 saves will win a week and its not worth it to have so many guys that get saves. try trading some of them for power hitting and awesome starting pitching. some people think that closers r awesome to have but i have 2 guys that get bout 1-2 saves a week for each and usually i am really close to winning that category if i dont win it

While Gordon might be good someday, I hardly think it will be this season. Also, you need someone with power in your outfield.

tomorrow after trade goes, i will have sizemore Hamiltion, bradley now thats some power.

You've got no power from your infield. Your only TRUE power player is Hamilton. You've got great trade bait though. Start shopping some of your guys to get someone like Prince Fielder (who isn't playing well, so he should be cheap). Maybe you can work with a disgruntled Holliday owner (like myself).
Also...you've only got two good starters and one doesn't get K's. Try to add a K-machine like Harden (caution) or Burnett- 1 Reply to A Yahoo! User

i just picked up Burnett.

your pitching isn't good at all.
they are some guys u should pick up: ricky nolasco is 1, and armando gallaraga is 2.
who are FA's in your league? -
i got bradley to add pop. and power is not a concern becasue i got 13 HR and 41 RBIs last week. Sizemore, hamiltion, Jacobs, Murphy and Soto all have power.

your IF is really up n down, was this a drafted team or traded players throughout the season thus far?? Either way,you should...
A) Go out and do a couple package deals
or
B) Play the waivers *i myself go out the day before, and get a decent pitcher who is goin up against a horrible team and it usually works*
There are plenty of different things you can do to make a team better in just a couple moves. - View More Messages
