General Message Board
I have just started up a mid season league. It is a deep league with full rosters, no bench spots, minimum innings pitched, 16 teams and a head to head format. Every one wants to join a keeper. I may decide to make it a keeper if everyone wants to at a later point but not right now. Please check the league settings as I will not tolerate uneducated owners who havnt thouroughly read through them and understand what they are joining.

League settings are set up to make this an actual league and not just another fantasy baseball 5x5. The league settings are fairly intriquet and require the utmost attention to each and every catagory......if this was a roto league....it would be almost impossible for a basement team to content even with several first overall choices in years to come. Head to head makes this system work. Which brings me to the point of this entire commissioners note.
I added innings pitched for those teams who may not have a complete game pitcher in thier top three but rather have a well rounded six+ inning staff. So it works for the team that doesnt get the complete games every week while also working for the team that gets a complete game or two each week.
Adding hits to the Batting catagories was about the only catagory that would make sense without adding something wierd like grounding into double plays after a 2-1 count...LMAO. I like having even numbers of hitting and pitching catagories.
This may displease some of you from the start and thats fine. My leagues are not for everyone. Three years from now this league and the league setup in my mind may fade completely, thats fine also. I think it makes for some interesting play week in and week out while giving teams certain strengths and weaknesses. But it makes a league and no where else on yahoo will you find a league like this one. Your league. Say it with me. Your league. I just commish it. I have ideas in my head to do things a little differently and to add some spice to this thing to take it away from just being ordinary. You want a traditional Yahoo fantasy baseball league....fine......they are called public leagues. Join one tommorow if you want. I am in several myself. ( I have to find out who is good somehow, I work 60+ in the summer) If you dont like the league lets try to fix what the problem is. To many catagories can be a drag. Making it twice as difficult to trade. I was in a league once with a full 30 catagories.....lets not go there though, that is not our league. Your league. I want you to want to be a part of it, just as much as I want to be a part of it myself. An I dont care who you have had a commissioner before. No one, NO ONE cares more for thier individual league than me.
Go find that in a yahoo public league.
