You no longer need a league ID and password.
If you're in a new league, simply hand out the URL provided in the Invite Friends tool via email, Facebook, SMS, etc. If you're in a renewed league, invite via email and they will be emailed a link.

See, what I used to do is post the League ID and Password and the League URL to the sign up page on the popular web forums I use and whenever somebody saw that they could join. It was very convenient. Now I have to gather everyone's email first and then send out invites manually. And when people try to visit the the League URL page now it just displays a message that "they're not allowed to view the league", so that's completely worthless. You commissioners don't find these extra steps a burden?

I see it now. Thanks guys. Here's another questions. How do you send multiple invites to managers in a renewed league? Seems like you can only send one invite to the entire league and that's it? What if it ends up in their junk mail or they simply miss it? I only have emails for about 1/3 of the league, all the others are private.
