I guess it's a good problem to have wondering who will sit this week. What do you all think? Who are the big names to be careful with this week? A lot of teams are saying they don't intend to hold back too much. Here are a few of my thoughts.

Atlanta: Falcon players carry the most risk: Home field guaranteed, nothing to play for. Ryan, Roddy, Julio, Turner, Rodgers and Gonzo are a gamble...but you probably still gotta play em. I can see Snelling being a sneaky play.

New England: If Houston wins their early game, New England will have nothing to play for in the later game. I don't think Belicheck will sit them the whole game, but I'd say they max out at 3 quarters. If they put up big numbers in the first half, it may be sooner. Vareen and Woodhead may be good plays.

Baltimore: This one is tough to call. "It's definitely a consideration," coach John Harbaugh said when asked whether he would substitute players against Cincinnati due to injuries or if the game is one-sided for either team. "The biggest thing is that you can't play this game half-speed. You have to play this game full-speed. Our guys are going to play the game full-speed to win the game. "Our guys" can be anyone. I have R.Rice in a championship game, I picked up Pierce just in case. T.Smith is the only other guy beside Flacco I think would be rested...or played in FF anyway.

Cincinnati: I have been a Bengal fan all my life (sigh). I think they have finally learned not to rest anyone, keep them in game mode. I think the viable fantasy starters (Green and BJGE) should be good to go.

    Your thoughts?

    • you are right. week 17 playoffs suck and that's why i stopped that in my league. this year i wish we'd stopped in week 14 seeing how the studs performed or didn't! i don't trust ANY stud will stay on the field long this week, esp those who have really nothing to play for like the falcons. and remember, vick will start this week for philly another twist. you are a bengals fan? well, i'm a panther's fan and why did they start playing football lately??? cost me a championship..

      • Yeah...my league is with friends, so I'm gonna suggest cutting it a week short next year. It's really only a problem for 2 people, 4 if you count 3rd place games...but it sucks. I have R.Rice, J.Charles and BJGE as my 3 starting RB's so I'm a bit concerned. Luckily A.Rodgers needs a win this week, so I'm hoping he helps me out. Just picked up PITT DEF with Weeden and T.Rich out this week too in hope I can make up a few points there.
