This is my first year in a keeper league with a keeper costing the round drafted or 12th if undrafted. I have made it into the playoffs and need some help with my WR core or also trying to plan next years RB depth. Likely any changes that I make will drop J. Rodgers or Fred Jackson.
Who should I try to keep and who should I pick up for short term playoff help? There is not much available on the waiver wire for WR as the best I can see are Donnie Avery (Ind), Chris Givens (STL), and Danario Alexander (SD). My roster is listed below with players that I would possibly keep.
QB Matthew Stafford (Det - QB)
WR A.J. Green (Cin - WR) - Round 3
WR Malcom Floyd (SD - WR) - Round 9
WR Pierre Garcon (Was - WR) - Round 9
RB Arian Foster (Hou - RB) - Round 1
RB Bryce Brown (Phi - RB) - Round 12
TE Owen Daniels (Hou - TE)
W/R/T Mikel Leshoure (Det - RB - Round 12
K Matt Bryant (Atl - K)
DEF Houston (Hou - DEF)
BN Percy Harvin (Min - WR) - Round 6
BN Michael Turner (Atl - RB)
BN Tony Romo (Dal - QB)
BN Larry Fitzgerald (Ari - WR)
BN Fred Jackson (Buf - RB)
BN Jacquizz Rodgers (Atl - RB)
Love keeper leagues. Been playing in them for years. I think Foster and Green are guys you gotta keep. Youre not gonna snag any upgrades over them. Beyond that I think your best value lies in Harvin and Leshoure. Of the WR's available I personally like Avery but see them all as roughly equal value. Just like the way the Colts have been playing. Luck is putting it up a ton.

I would agree as I doubt Foster would fall to the 7th pick again and I would be happy to have Green in a late 3rd round. Based on WR depth and Harvin going to IR, I would expect to get the 7th or 8th pick next year.
I still have some learning to do when I draft for the keeper league as I passed over Doug Martin and RGIII at a decent round thinking that they would continue to fall. I wanted to make sure I had a good plan for next year.
Depends on how many guys you're able to keep. Your best bang for your buck guys are AJ Green- rd 3 and Percy Harvin- rd 6. Obviously Foster is face value, but given that you won't have the first pick next year he's probably a smart keeper as well. After that you're looking at Garcon, Stafford, LeShoure, and Fitzgerald probably in that order.
As to your question for the playoffs, I like Danario Alexander because he's a big body who has been getting a ton of targets. I'd actually prefer him over Malcom Floyd. The rest of your squad is just hoping Harvin gets healthy and McCoy doesn't come back.

If I remember correctly, it is 2-4 player that we can keep. Based on that I knew AJ Green would be one, Percy Havin as my next bet, and Foster depending on where I finished this year. I guess I will have to wait and see what the off season brings with Bryce Brown and Mikel Leshoure to see if they are a better option than Garcon. Fitzgerald is not worth a 2nd pick in my opnion and was almost dropped until Skelton was named starter and Harvin on IR.
Thanks for the help.
