I want to trade: C. Kaepernick (QB), M. Colston (WE), and B. Celek (TE)
For: T. Romo (QB), D. Alexander (WR), and H. Miller (TE)
My roster is currently:
QB: M. Ryan
WR: R. Cobb (points for return yards)
WR: B. Marshall
RB: A. Foster
RB: M. Lynch
TE: D. Keller
Flex: C. Spiller
Flex: D. Bryant
Bench: V. Jackson
Bench: M. Colston
Bench: B. Celek
Bench: C. Kaepernick
My league holds the championship in week 17 and I want Romo to insure against Ryan not playing. I also think Miller would be a much needed upgrade at TE for the playoffs.
Thanks for your help!
I think that's an overall loss for you. I know you're dealing backups, but in the event the guy your trading with is your opponent in the finals, do you really want to play against Colston and Kaepernick? Given ATL's struggles in the playoffs, I doubt they are going to sit Ryan during the last week of the season because that would give him two weeks off with the bye. Even if that does happen, I'd prefer Kaepernick over Romo anyway. Miller could be an upgrade, but that's assuming Big Ben's health which is also no guarantee. Stick with what you have and ride the hot hand between Keller and Celek... you've got a good roster and it's not worth making another team better just for a minor upgrade at TE.
I guess making a play for romo is decent since he plays NO during the playoff weeks at least, but I honestly think Kaepernick would be as good a backup for you if you need it. Colston is much better than Danario and I think MIllers stock has taken a dive since Big Bens injury. NOt to say that celeks situatuation is better.
If I were you I'd try to package lynch and spiller for a play every down stud RB, and start vjax or colston over cobb with jennings coming back.
