I have Ahmad Bradshaw and am thinking of putting in a $10-$15 bid for Andre Brown (our league uses Free Agent Auction Bidding...$100 budget, I have $85 remaining).....I don't have tons of WR depth
Do I drop:
2) Randall Cobb (our league counts return yards at 1 pt/every 25 yards)
Or should I sit still so as to not lose more WR depth/save free agent money.
My current team (uses QB, 2 RB, WR/RB,2 WR, TE, D/ST, K)
QB- M. Ryan, Luck
RB- Chris Johnson, Ahmad Bradshaw, Steven Jackson, Mikel Leshoure, Mark Ingram
WR- B. Marshall, Julio Jones, Lance Moore, Heyward-Bay, Cobb
I'd drop Mark Ingram in favor of Brown. Ingram hasn't done anything, and Brown is almost a surefire bet to get a solid workload this week. I was starting Brown over Johnson in my league before I traded CJ away. With your current setup, i'd drop Ingram, grab Brown and put him in your starting lineup immediately. Whether you start him for CJ or Jackson is up to you.
These guys are nuts. You all do realize that Cobb caught all nine passes thrown his way in week 1 right? Also he lines up in the backfield and they use him as a RB at times. And like you said... plus the return yards.
I would sit tight and hope CJ finally makes something happen. Also 1st round draft pick LeShoure is finally gonna make his debut.
I'd drop DHB before Cobb. Just my opinion.
Question tho... what does "open" mean? looks to me like you're more in need of a TE than Andre Brown
Cobb, and here is why, you don't need a guy who is going to get thrown to a lot once every 4 weeks in a 16 week season. Rodgers has to many weapons to throw too. He mixes it up a ton from week to week so much so that even Finely doesn't meet his minimal 6 or 7 point projections every week. Cobb had a good week thats all. I can think of about 3 to 4 other receivers to have over Cobb and I am sure at least 2 of them are on your wire. Drop Cobb pick up Brown for this week maybe next, but Bradshaw will be back by then I think then drop Brown and grab a receiver with more consistent higher end potential.
